Dr. Katherine Pratt

Dr. Pratt received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1990 from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. She originally moved to Terrace from Halifax in 1993 to practice with Dr. Paul Clark.  In 2013 she and her family moved back to Terrace, enjoying the beauty of the north.

She has extensive experience in family eye care, including pediatric eye examination, contact lens fitting, and eye surgery co-management. Her interests are in eye disease and visual development.

Dr. Pratt has volunteered for eye care projects in Mexico and Granada, providing free eye examinations and eyewear to thousands of less fortunate adults and children.

Dr. Pratt has been a council member with the British Columbia Association of Optometrists, as well as serving on the Board of Examiners in Optometry as co-chair to the Quality Assurance (QA) Committee. She is presently a member of the QA Committee with the College of Optometry and is a member of the Canadian Optometric Association.

In her spare time Dr. Pratt is a mother, hiker, hockey player, and certified yoga instructor.
